Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional liability claims or litigation experience preferred.
• JD preferred; college degree required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong understanding of professional liability insurance coverage.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and communicate conclusions clearly.
• Experience with complex litigation and loss/expense reserves is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, negotiate and settle complex professional liability claims.
• Analyze coverage under primary and excess policies and draft correspondence.
• Manage nationwide litigation and oversee defense counsel.
• Communicate developments to underwriters and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Claims Manager and participate in training and initiatives.
• Travel as necessary (approximately 10%).
