The role emphasizes strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with occasional travel and coverage across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of three years' experience in law practice or claims in professional liability.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, investigates, and evaluates coverage for lawyer’s professional liability claims.
• Sets reserves based on risk evaluation and authority.
• Coordinates defense and coverage evaluations with outside counsel when needed.
• Maintains and updates claim files with timely notes and information.
• Supports insureds and internal staff on claims handling and policy interpretation.
