Qualus is seeking a Senior Civil Structural Engineer to design and detail mat and pier foundations for substation structures and to develop designs for equipment supports and overhead line towers. The role emphasizes quality and cost adherence to client standards and internal QA/QC practices.

Responsibilities include conceptual design, client coordination, substation layouts, and mentoring engineers while applying codes and standards.

Qualifikationen

• ABET-accredited B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 8–10 years of civil structural engineering calculations experience.
• 7+ years of substation experience.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Develop overall conceptual design plans in the initial development phase of new projects.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and client meetings/job site visits.
• Design foundations for substations using appropriate software (e.g., LPILE).
• Develop steel structure models for rigid bus and equipment supports.
• Perform QA/QC processes.
• Mentor less experienced staff on technical and project management skills.
