Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to design and detail mat and pier foundations for substation structures, and to develop designs for equipment supports and towers. The role emphasizes quality, client standards, and cost control in a diverse, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include creating conceptual designs, applying codes, preparing layouts and bills of material, coordinating with other disciplines, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor of Science or Master in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 4+ years of experience performing civil structural engineering calculations.
• Proficiency with drafting programs such as AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual design plans for new projects.
• Design foundations and substation structures per client standards.
• Apply applicable codes and client standards to layouts, elevations, and BOMs.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and attend client meetings or site visits.
• Mentor junior staff on technical and project management skills.
