Job summary

KBR is seeking a Civil Engineer in Houston to design dynamically loaded foundations for petrochemical equipment, including rotary and reciprocating equipment foundations. The role involves preparing calculations, sketches, and construction drawings, and coordinating with clients to define scopes of work and material take-offs.

Responsibilities include collaborating with designers, reviewing drawings, and participating in project meetings to ensure successful execution of foundations for pumps,

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years’ design experience in the Petrochemical Industry.
Minimum 5 years’ experience designing dynamically loaded industrial equipment foundations, process structures, and process structure foundations; includes tabletop structures for high-speed centrifugal compressors on piled and shallow foundations and fatigue analysis of modular structures during ocean transport.
Experience with STAADPro and MAT3D to perform dynamic analysis preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare design calculations and sketches for civil foundations, structures, drainage, etc. Work with designers to prepare construction drawings.
Coordinate with client to develop scopes of work and prepare material take-offs.
Conduct drawing reviews and participate in project meetings.
