Job summary

KBR is seeking a Civil Engineer in Houston to design dynamically loaded foundations for petrochemical equipment, including rotary and reciprocating equipment foundations. Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ design experience in the Petrochemical Industry.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience designing dynamically loaded industrial equipment foundations, process structures, and process structure foundations; includes tabletop structures for high-speed centrifugal compressors on piled and shallow foundations and fatigue analysis of modular structures during ocean transport.
• Experience with STAADPro and MAT3D to perform dynamic analysis preferred but not required.

• Duration – long term contract / contract to direct
• Location: KBR Houston
• FLSA – Exempt
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract / Contract to direct

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare design calculations and sketches for civil, foundations, structures, drainage, etc. Work closely with designers to prepare construction drawings. Work closely with client to develop scopes of work and prepare material take-offs. Conduct drawing reviews and participate in project meetings.

Rotary equipment foundations

• Pumps
• Fans
• Blowers
• Turbines

Reciprocating equipment foundations

• Compressors (Centrifugal / Recep.)
• Engines
• Skid-mounted equipment foundations
