Job summary

GAS GLOBAL SERVICES is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer in Houston to lead civil/structural design and guide a team of designers and engineers on petrochemical and industrial projects. You will collaborate with project managers, other disciplines, and clients to deliver high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience, a TX PE license, and proficiency in STAADPro, AutoCAD/Civil3D, and RAM Connection.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in civil/structural design for petrochemical, refining or industrial projects.
• Experience with grading, drainage, containment, soils, and pavement design.
• Proficient in STAADPro; familiar with AutoCAD, Civil3D, Navisworks and RAM Connection.
• Licensed PE in TX (NCEES); strong leadership and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design of civil/structural projects and ensure quality.

Job Description

• Oversee the design of civil/structural projects
• Perform civil and structural engineering calculations and check other engineer’s work
• Ensure that all design work complies with relevant codes, standards and client requirements
• Coordinate with other disciplines and project managers to align design efforts with project timelines and budgets
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers
• Perform site visits as required for visual inspections and to verify design implementations
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide design solutions
• Use time management and organizational skills to balance multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines without compromising quality

Skills Required

• Minimum of 10 years civil/structural engineering design of petrochemical, refining, industrial, or similar projects, including:
  • Grading, drainage, containment, sumps, UG sewers, and pavement
  • Steel process structures, skids, pipe racks, pipe bridges, pipe supports, and platforms
  • Concrete/Foundation design including spread footings, mats, drilled shafts, piles, pump and equipment foundations
  • New construction (greenfield) and revamp (brownfield) designs
  • High School Degree or Higher
• Professional engineering license (TX), and NCEES registration.
• Proficient with STAADPro
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• LPILE, Profis, and RAM Connection experience a plus
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Civil3D, CADWorx, Navisworks, Recap/scans
• Adobe, Bluebeam
• Project scopes and estimating
• Strong leadership
