Job summary

Blattner is seeking a Senior Estimator in the Solar business unit to develop competitive proposals for utility-scale renewable projects in the United States. You will work with Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Construction, and Project Management to craft conceptual electrical solutions and position projects for contract awards.

Day-to-day includes reviewing RFPs, evaluating designs with engineers of record, coordinating with utilities and suppliers, estimating for collection systems,

Qualifications

• Four-year construction or engineering degree with five to seven years of experience as an Estimator or equivalent in Renewable Construction – Solar, Wind, BESS.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and calculate costs for safety requirements and risks in bids.
• Plan estimates for pre-bid and develop preliminary project schedules.
• Review specifications and drawings to determine scope and cost content.
• Conduct site visits, analyze cost data, and perform value engineering.
• Collaborate with Owners, EORs, utilities, and internal teams to develop proposals.
