Job summary

Blattner seeks a Senior Estimator for its Solar Business Unit to develop competitive, technically sound proposals for utility-scale renewable energy projects. You will collaborate with Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Construction, and PM to craft electrical solutions from opportunity through award.

Daily tasks include reviewing RFPs, evaluating designs, coordinating with EORs, utilities, and suppliers, and preparing estimates for interconnections, substations, and SCADA systems, while

Qualifications

• Four-year construction or engineering degree with five to seven years of experience as an Estimator or equivalent, in Renewable Construction – focusing on Solar, Wind and BESS techniques.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Some travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and calculate cost of project safety requirements into bid, select subcontractors meeting risk criteria.
• Plan the estimate and pre-bid, create preliminary project schedule.
• Review proposals, drawings, scope, and estimate contents; calculate quantities, materials, labor, and equipment.
