Job summary

Blattner Company is seeking a Manager I – Solar Estimating to lead the preconstruction estimating team through every stage of the bidding process for utility-scale solar projects. This role ensures bid accuracy, technical compliance and competitive pricing while coordinating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction and Business Development to craft winning proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction related discipline.
5+ years of preconstruction and/or construction experience or equivalent in estimating, project management, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

Lead the preconstruction estimating team through all bidding stages to ensure bid accuracy and competitive pricing.
Coordinate estimating procedures and preconstruction activities with Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction and Business Development to develop winning proposals.
Mentor estimators, review estimates, evaluate project risks and opportunities, and drive continuous improvements to preconstruction processes.
Facilitate transition of awarded projects from estimating to operations by coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, engineers and clients.
