Job summary

Stantec in Denver is seeking a full-time civil engineer to join the Energy group. You will work on challenging water and natural resources projects with multi-discipline teams, applying engineering principles to deliver solutions.

The role requires collaboration, mentorship, and occasional travel to project sites nationwide and internationally. The successful candidate will lead technical tasks, prepare design drawings and specifications, and contribute to proposals and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; Master’s preferred.
• Existing PE license or ability to obtain within 3–6 months of starting work.
• Willing and able to travel for site work, including national and international assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design tasks and oversee design calculations as required.
• Mentor, coach, and train less-experienced professionals.
• Manage projects and tasks with assistance of 1 to 10 engineers.
• Develop design drawings and specifications (30%, 60%, 90%, 100% design).
• Support business development including budgets and scopes of work.
