Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Senior Civil Project Engineer to lead a design team and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion. You will supervise site layout, grading, utility design, SWPPP, and stormwater management while coordinating with Architects, MEP Engineers, and Construction Project Managers.

You will produce civil construction documents, ensure compliance with client and code requirements, and mentor staff across disciplines in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required and a P.E. license is preferred.
• 8+ years of site/civil production experience with commercial projects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and MS Office is required.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor staff and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to apply municipal codes and coordinate with authorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Civil Engineering Designers and Civil Project Engineers.
• Interact with clients and coordinate with sub-consultants.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts and change orders.
• Design full site plans and conduct site visits with reports and recommendations.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and respond to RFIs and submittals.
• Coordinate work across design development and contract document phases.
