Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Senior Civil Project Engineer to lead a design team from concept to construction. You will oversee site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, SWPPP, and stormwater management while coordinating with Architects, MEP and Structural Engineers, and Construction Project Managers.

You will produce civil construction documents adhering to client and code requirements, manage budgets, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• P.E. in Civil Engineering required.
• 8+ years of site/civil production experience, preferably with commercial projects.
• AutoCAD and MS Office required.
• Experience with Civil3D required.
• Ability to identify practical uses for AI tools to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Civil Engineering Designers and Civil Project Engineers.
• Engage in client interaction throughout projects.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants.
• Assist in preparing and negotiating contracts and change orders with clients and sub-contractors.
• Design full site plans with or without direction.
• Conduct site visits and generate reports and recommendations.
• Prepare design calculations and reports.
• Maintain budgets and schedules at project level.
• Coordinate multi-discipline work through design and contract phases.
• Ensure compliance with municipal codes and authorities.
