Job summary

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi-office national firm, is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal with 4+ years of civil litigation experience to join our Chicago office. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

The successful candidate will assist attorneys from case inception through resolution, manage calendars and deadlines, draft pleadings and discovery, organize documents, and support filings in Illinois state and federal courts in

Qualifications

• 4+ years of paralegal experience in civil litigation.
• Strong understanding of Illinois litigation procedures and rules.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.
• Paralegal certificate or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case development, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and summaries.
• Organize and analyze documentation, including accident reports, medical records, insurance materials, and expert reports.
• Manage case calendars, track court deadlines, and maintain attorney schedules.
• Conduct legal and factual research related to liability and damages.
• Communicate directly with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Prepare exhibits, witness files, and other materials for depositions, mediations, and trial.
• Assist with court filings, including Illinois State and Federal E-Filing procedures.
• Maintain organized case files in both electronic and physical formats.
• Assist with billing and time entry as needed.
