Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) in New York City is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our civil litigation and insurance defense team.

This full-time role supports attorneys through all phases of litigation, from case inception to resolution, and requires strong organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience, excellent written and verbal communication, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal experience in civil litigation preferred.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and case management.
• Experience with NY State and Federal Court filing procedures and e-filing.
• Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records and litigation materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation and insurance defense.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, notices, and other documents.
• Assist with written discovery and coordinate collection, review, and production of documents.
• Review and summarize medical records, reports, and case-related materials.
• Maintain case calendars and track court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Coordinate depositions, IMEs, expert evaluations, and other matters.
• Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Assist with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation and organize exhibits.
• Prepare and assist with NYS and Federal Court filings.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
