Overview

A litigation boutique law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join its Chicago office. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys and collaborate with a team of four other paralegals to provide comprehensive litigation support. This position is primarily onsite in downtown Chicago and plays a key role in case preparation, discovery, trial support, and client service.

Responsibilities

• Proofread, edit, and cite-check memoranda and briefs
• File documents in state and federal electronic filing systems
• Assist with discovery, including document production and management of electronically stored information
• Support deposition preparation and management, including use of relevant software tools
• Coordinate all aspects of trial preparation, including onsite trial management (may require travel)
• Provide project management support to ensure deadlines and litigation milestones are met

Required

• Minimum of 10 years of litigation paralegal experience, including multiple trial experiences
• Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up and project management skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
• Strong interpersonal skills with professionalism, diplomacy, and tact

Preferred

• Paralegal Certificate or bachelor’s degree
• Experience with document management systems
• Familiarity with Westlaw and deposition processing software
