Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is expanding its civil construction business and seeks a Lead Estimator. The role focuses on self-perform heavy civil estimating, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor/vendor pricing, and risk analysis to ensure comprehensive scope coverage.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in construction management or civil engineering, with field self-perform contracting experience. Federal project estimating is a plus. Remote position with EST/CST availability and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• Experience in self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure is required.
• Federal project estimating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size, scope and mix.
• Provide quantity takeoffs and detailed material lists to assess costs.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop plans to address them.
• Collaborate with field and office teams on estimates.
• Meet interim milestones for constructability and productivity reviews.
• Vet subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure full scope coverage.
• Interface with Operations post-award for alternates and site conditions.
