Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is expanding and seeking a Lead Estimator for our civil construction line. The role focuses on self-perform heavy civil cost estimation, leveraging project plans, specs and scopes to prepare precise estimates.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, and experience with Bid2Win and HCSS. Remote work in EST/CST regions with occasional travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering required.
• Experience in self-perform civil infrastructure estimating is required.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with CPM scheduling and estimating software (Bid2Win, HCSS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs to assess total construction costs.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify and address project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with field and office teams to prepare each estimate.
• Meet interim milestones for constructability and productivity reviews.
• Support constructability reviews and verify subcontractor pricing.
• Communicate with operations post-award for alternates and site conditions.
