CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support water-related projects in the United States. You will work on conveyance, site and civil design, and lead multidisciplinary teams while independently managing tasks and mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in water systems design, travel flexibility, and the ability to collaborate with clients, sales, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or FE exam in states where EIT is not obtainable within 18 months of hire or promotion.
• 5 years of related experience; travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Develop, review, and approve basic to moderately complex engineering designs for water/wastewater facilities, pipelines, and pump stations.
• Ensure designs comply with state and local regulations.
• Conduct site visits and field studies to verify design requirements.
• Apply firm policies and best practices across deliverables.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
• Collaborate with sales to prepare proposals in response to RFPs.
• Meet with clients to understand evolving design needs and represent CDM Smith at events.
