Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group in the United States. This role offers hands-on experience designing water and wastewater infrastructure while learning from seasoned engineers in a collaborative team.

You will contribute to projects from planning through construction, gaining skills in design, site investigations, and modeling, with exposure to client presentations and fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• 0 years experience; travel may be required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop water and wastewater facilities, collection systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
• Perform site assessments and field investigations for project design.
• Assist with water quality analyses, calculations, and hydraulic modeling.
• Adjust design parameters to meet project needs and regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and docs.
• Create drawings, maps, and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel.
• Collaborate with teams and contribute to client presentations.
• Support construction management and fieldwork across lifecycle.
