Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead site civil design across a broad range of projects, including layouts, grading, drainage, utilities and permitting. You will drive portions of the project lifecycle from conception through delivery while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates will have a PE license, 10+ years of civil/site design experience, and a collaborative mindset aligned with HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 10 years design experience managing civil/site projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Project engineering and project management experience.
• Active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and plan production for general site civil on diverse projects including layouts, control, grading, drainage, paving, utilities.
• Perform quantity calculations.
• Prepare specifications and contract documents.
• Conduct permitting.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical expert for complex problems.
• Conduct early project development activities including site selection and due diligence.
