Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Design Engineering team and lead complex civil and environmental projects across North America.

The role offers a hybrid‑flexible schedule and may be based in any Arcadis office in the Eastern US. You will guide design from planning through construction, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on site development, drainage, and restoration projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience as a civil engineer.
• Proficiency with 3D civil site design using computer‑based modeling applications (AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar).
• Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (HydroCAD, HEC‑HMS, SWMM, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design efforts from proposal development through final design and construction support.
• Serve as a technical lead and trusted advisor for project teams and clients.
• Review and interpret technical reports, maps, drawings, test results, and other project‑specific information.
• Develop designs that are technically sound, compliant, and constructible.
• Oversee drawing production and provide technical guidance to staff.
