Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Design Engineering team. The role is hybrid-flexible and can be based at any Arcadis office in the Eastern US, with periodic travel for site visits and client meetings.

You will lead complex site development, restoration, stormwater, and civil infrastructure projects across North America, providing technical leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience as a civil engineer.
• Proficiency with 3D civil site design using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar.
• Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, SWMM.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design efforts from proposal development to final design and construction support.
• Serve as technical lead and advisor for project teams, defining design approaches and managing risk.
• Review and interpret technical reports, drawings, and geotechnical/hydrologic data to support design.
• Oversee 3D site design, grading, drainage, and quantity estimates using Civil 3D or similar.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with environmental scientists, surveyors, and contractors.
