Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our High-Performance Building Group. This role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid setting from locations across the United States in the Eastern and Central time zones.

You will lead civil design and project delivery for federal, commercial, data center, and microgrid projects, mentor staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients through all project phases, traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
• 10+ years of experience in stormwater design, land development, water/sewer distribution, water towers, and pump stations.
• Proven track record in proposal leadership and project delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet client schedules.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• At least 1 year of consulting/DoD experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects from planning through construction phase inspections.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and scopes; ensure quality and delivery.
• Lead proposal development and support business development.
• Serve as technical liaison with clients and coordinate site evaluations.
• Review engineering data, calculations, reports, estimates, and permits.
• Lead civil design of site layout, grading, drainage, roadways, sewers, and water mains.
• Interpret regulations and permitting requirements.
• Mentor and supervise staff; ensure deliverable quality.
• Travel nationwide for meetings and site visits.
