Job summary

Francison Consulting, Inc. invites a Senior Civil Engineer to join the LAUSD Facilities Services Division in Los Angeles, CA. You will provide technical direction across planning, design, and construction of district facilities and site improvements.

Bring a California PE license, 8+ years of civil design experience (educational facilities preferred), and proficiency with office software to coordinate with architects and engineers on complex school projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum eight years of full-time civil design experience on commercial/public projects; educational facilities preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Adobe Suite required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and certification on civil engineering work for LAUSD Facilities Services Division.
• Define and review project scope, schedule, and interim housing requirements.
• Oversee planning, design, and construction of district facilities and site improvements.
• Direct and coordinate with architects, consultants, and district staff; ensure conformance with codes and standards.
• Develop and update civil engineering standards, guidelines, and specs.
• Coordinate with City of Los Angeles and consultants for permits and off-site improvements.
