Job summary

CMP Services is seeking a Civil Engineer to support our team at the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). The role focuses on planning, design, and construction of school facilities and site improvements, including grading, drainage, utilities, paving, and site development.

The ideal candidate will have a California PE license and 8+ years of professional civil design experience on educational facility projects, with strong experience coordinating with consultants and public agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 8 years of professional civil design experience on commercial, public agency, or educational facility projects.
• California PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining project scope and schedule for district facilities and site improvements.
• Review civil plans for conformance with policies, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate with district staff, consultants, and public agencies.
• Provide technical direction on grading, drainage, utilities, paving, and site development.
• Develop and maintain civil engineering standards and specifications.
• Support permitting and coordination with City of Los Angeles and other authorities.
