Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the High-Performance Building Group. This role is remote and/or hybrid-friendly and supports facilities and infrastructure projects across the United States, with a focus on federal, commercial, data center, and microgrid initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of civil engineering experience, a PE license, and strong leadership skills to manage multi-disciplinary teams, schedules, and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of experience in stormwater design, land development, sanitary sewer systems, water distribution, water tower design, and pump stations.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects from planning through construction inspections.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scopes to meet quality standards.
• Lead proposal development and support business development goals.
• Act as technical liaison with clients, maintaining strong relationships throughout projects.
• Review engineering calculations, reports, cost estimates, and permitting applications.
• Lead site design, grading, drainage, stormwater, roadway, and water distribution design efforts.
• Interpret federal, state, and local regulations for project design and permitting.
• Mentor staff and ensure high-quality deliverables across projects.
• Travel within the United States for meetings and site visits as required.
