Sargent & Lundy in Hamilton, NJ seeks a Civil Engineer to join the Energy & Industrial Group. The role focuses on civil site development for power plants, substations, and transmission projects, including calculations, designs, and specifications.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, preparing layouts, reviewing vendor docs, and guiding junior engineers as needed. Hybrid schedule with in-office work three days weekly.

Qualifications

• Requires BSCE from ABET-approved program.
• PE license or ability to obtain one is required.
• Five+ years in project teams for industrial design, power plants preferred.
• Experience with site grading, earthwork, storm water, and road/track design.
• Experience with technical writing and regulatory permits.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify civil aspects of power plant projects.
• Prepare calculations for storm water, sewer, pavement, ponds, and earthwork.
• Develop technical specifications for construction.
• Create site layouts, grading, and drainage designs; support 3-D modeling.
• Review drawings and vendor submittals for conformance.
• Travel to client offices or plant sites for reviews and verification.
