Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced environmental professional to join the Environmental and Permitting team on a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work 3 days per week in Hamilton, NJ. You will apply regulatory expertise to electric power and industrial projects, lead business development, and expand client relationships across consulting, engineering, and project services.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; MS preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in environmental compliance, impact assessment, and/or permitting for complex projects.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary power-industry projects with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to grow client relationships and contribute to proposals and interviews.
• Familiarity with NEPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and other environmental laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development efforts and expand environmental services footprint across power, grid, industrial, and decarbonization sectors.
• Review, evaluate, and implement federal, state and local environmental regulatory requirements for major projects.
• Mentor junior environmental staff and champion knowledge sharing and process improvements.
• Manage complex environmental permitting, site selection studies, and environmental reports.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, landowners, and project teams across multi-disciplinary projects.
