Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior Civil Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team, applying your civil engineering degree to design, modify, and analyze heavy industrial systems such as power plants, substations, and transmission lines.

You will lead civil site development, create calculations, designs, and specifications, coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and permitting agencies, and mentor junior engineers as needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• PE license required.
• 10+ years in project teams designing heavy industrial projects; power plant exp. with site grading and earthwork, storm water, sanitary systems, roads/rail.
• Experience in technical writing for reports, calculations, specs.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify and analyze heavy industrial systems (power plants, substations, lines).
• Perform civil site development, calculations, designs, specs.
• Coordinate with project managers, client personnel, contractors, and permitting agencies.
• Mentor junior civil engineers/designers as needed.
• Travel to client offices/sites for design reviews and field verification.
