Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Staff Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in New Haven, CT, New York City, NY, or Boston, MA. This role provides planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects across mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal, and related programs.

You will contribute to site/civil design, prepare reports and plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and collaborate with multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification; PE certification preferred.
• 3+ years of site/civil design experience including site planning, grading, storm water management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a collaborative team environment; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and modification of engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software.
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data from reports, maps, drawings, and tests and their impact on planning and design.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other job duties as requested.
