Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Princeton, NJ seeks a Staff Civil Engineer to support the planning, design, and permitting of civil, land development, and infrastructure projects.

You will gain hands-on experience in site/civil design for mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal programs, and other exciting land development projects while collaborating with a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Entry to 2 years of related experience.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• EIT certification or FE exam registration.
• Internship or professional experience in site/civil design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Availability Monday–Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil site and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering reports, plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Analyze soil, topography, hydrology, and geotechnical data for design impact.
• Suggest improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.
• Apply engineering concepts and mathematics to project tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to complete assignments.
• Perform other duties as required.
