Job summary

Langan is seeking a senior Project Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join our collaborative team across New Haven, NY, or Boston. This role coordinates planning, design, permitting, and staff supervision for civil, land development, and infrastructure projects.

You will lead and mentor junior staff while delivering projects across healthcare, education, commercial, and mixed-use sectors. Requirements include a PE license, 6+ years of relevant experience, strong client development skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Valid Professional Engineer license (PE).
• 6+ years of site/civil land development experience.
• Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes.
• Strong client development and management abilities.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects from concept through construction documents.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred).
• Travel may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and permitting of civil, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate client communication and team responsibilities.
• Develop new clients and maintain existing relationships.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and project timelines.
• Prepare and review reports, feasibility studies, and technical documents.
• Provide hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and SWPPP preparation.
• Support growth plans and staff utilization.
