Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Data Center group in the United States. You will lead civil design for land/site development, perform feasibility analyses, and manage due diligence across multidisciplinary teams for industrial and data center projects.

You will collaborate with architectural, energy, water, environmental, and permitting teams to navigate regulatory requirements and client expectations, guiding site selection and capital decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license or ability to obtain one.
• 15+ years of engineering experience with site development and industrial projects.
• Experience with large-scale industrial developments from design through construction.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead site development, master planning, and site selection for large data center facilities.
• Perform technical due diligence for greenfield and brownfield developments.
• Conduct site feasibility studies covering grading, drainage, utilities, and transport access.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering disciplines.
• Prepare permitting packages and executive-level feasibility reports.
