Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Civil Engineer to lead civil/structural activities on hydro power dam projects, ensuring compliance with codes, safety, schedule and cost objectives. You will work under the Civil Engineering Lead on complex EPC heavy civil work.

Requires a Civil Engineering degree and 8–14 years of experience or equivalent, PE registration within 6 months, and the ability to travel and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Requires Civil Engineering bachelor's or master's degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Professional Engineering registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with engineering work planning, design development, scheduling, and cost control.
• Understanding of construction methods for large dams.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and participates in day-to-day Civil/Structural engineering on medium to large complex projects.
• Designs and evaluates civil components using EDPs, BSAPs, and DCCL/DRNs.
• Plans specifications, bid evaluations, and procurement documents.
• Coordinates with project and construction management to address civil/structural requirements.
