Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Considerable supervisory experience in public works or construction.
• Valid NC driver's license and PE registration in NC are required.
• Strong budgeting and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and directs the Engineering Department to support City projects.
• Oversees plan reviews, site inspections, and project management for utilities and streets.
• Directs design criteria, estimates, contracts, and capital improvements.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and coordination with other departments and builders.
• Manages budget, personnel development, and performance evaluation.
