Job summary
The City of Olathe is seeking a Project Inspection Supervisor to lead inspection activities for public infrastructure projects, including streets, storm and sanitary sewers, water mains, and related improvements. This position supervises and develops inspection staff, coordinates contract inspection personnel, and ensures projects meet City specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, municipal codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience supervising inspection staff and coordinating contract inspectors.
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and coordinates technical inspection of streets, sewers, water mains and other city infrastructure.
- Supervises outsourced inspection staff to ensure safety practices and adherence to standards.
- Mentors team members, evaluates performance and communicates with contractors and internal staff.
- Provides project management support and assists with budget oversight during inspections.
