Qualifications

• Knowledge of modern civil engineering methods and techniques.
• Ability to prepare technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Project Field Engineer for contracted services such as sidewalk repairs, guardrail installations, and roadway resurfacing.
• Develops and manages procurement of contracted services for field related work projects.
• Serves as a liaison between consultants, contractors, City/County Purchasing Department staff and the general public.
• Reviews designs, plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, schedules, and other items prepared by consulting engineers for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinates construction bid process with engineers, contractors, and Purchasing Department staff, including bid documents and pre-construction meetings.
• Reviews and approves submittals, invoices, and payment applications by engineers and contractors.
• Monitors construction sites to verify work quality and adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
• Reviews and manages project financial information to keep projects on budget and on schedule.
