Job summary

The City of Delray Beach seeks a Supervising Engineer to lead engineering and CIP project management within the Public Works Department. You will supervise Project Managers and GIS staff, directing planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, inspection, and financial management to ensure timely, within-budget delivery of municipal infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience, preferably in municipal/public-infrastructure.
At least five (5) years of supervisory or management experience over professional staff.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision of Engineering staff, including Project Managers and GIS personnel.
Oversee capital improvement projects from planning to closeout within budget, schedule, and scope.
Provide technical direction and ensure compliance with City policies, laws, and engineering standards.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, other departments, and governmental agencies on CIP projects.
