PBK is seeking a Civil Senior Project Manager in Florida to lead day-to-day client interactions and ensure quality and timely execution of engineering projects, including grading, drainage, water distribution, wastewater, and roadways. The role combines hands-on project design with mentoring junior staff.

The position requires a PE licensure in Florida, 10+ years of site development experience in the state, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D, WaterCAD, and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience since graduation with land/site development design in Florida preferred.
  • Florida Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D design software.
  • Proficiency with engineering design software such as StormWise WaterCAD.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with coworkers, owners and public agency officials.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal design criteria.
  • Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work.
  • Prepares estimates for engineering work.
  • Guides and educates team members on standards and changes within client or scope of work.
  • Works with Firm's management on project aspects.
  • Prepares weekly project status reports.
  • Attends client meetings for project review and coordination.
  • Researches and prepares feasibility documents.
  • Ensures effective communication across disciplines and consultants.
  • Manages and coordinates technical designs for multiple projects.
  • Monitors compliance with codes, standards and design criteria.
  • Coordinates with authorities to obtain plan approval and permits.
  • Attends construction meetings and conducts field observations.

Job description

The Civil Senior Project Manager will be the main point of contact in the day-to-day interaction with the Client's designated representative and has the ultimate responsibility for both the quality and effective execution of engineering projects including grading, drainage systems, water distribution and supply systems, wastewater collection systems, and roadways. The Civil Senior Project Manager will also play a key role in the hands-on design of engineering projects and mentorship of junior level staff.

Your Impact
  • Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work.
  • Prepares estimates for engineering work.
  • Provides guidance and continuously educate team members on standards and changes within client or scope of work.
  • Work with the Firm's management on various aspects of assigned projects.
  • Preparation of weekly project status reports for assigned projects.
  • Attending meetings with the Client for project review and coordination.
  • Research and preparation of feasibility documents.
  • Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project consultants.
  • Management, preparation, and coordination of all technical designs of multiple projects.
  • Monitors work for compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, standards, and design criteria.
  • Proactively work with the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction to obtain plan approval and permits.
  • Attend construction meetings and conduct field observations.
Here's What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience since graduation. Previous full-time experience related to land/site development design in Florida is preferred.
  • Florida Licensed professional engineer (P.E.) required.
  • Highly proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil3D design software.
  • Highly proficient with engineering design software such as StormWise WaterCAD.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communications skills both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with coworkers, owners and public agency officials.
