Job summary

Leidos in Odenton, MD is seeking a Cisco SD-WAN Engineer to design, deploy and maintain enterprise SD-WAN solutions. You will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable WAN infrastructure across DEV/TEST and Production environments.

The role demands deep Cisco SD-WAN expertise (vManage/vBond/vSmart), knowledge of BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, IPSec and VPNs, and the ability to configure QoS and security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience, or Master's with 10+ years.
• Experience in remotely configuring networking or transport devices.
• Strong experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Catalyst SD-WAN/Viptela or Meraki).
• Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and WAN technologies.
• Security+ certification.
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance.
• DoD 8570 certification at IAT level II (Security+CE).
• Proficiency with Cisco IOS-XE, vManage, and network automation tools.
• Basic Linux administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy and manage Cisco SD-WAN solutions.
• Coordinate deployments with DRSN engineers and site personnel.
• Evaluate system network requirements and make recommendations.
• Provide expertise in SD-WAN overlay/underlay networking (BGP, OSPF, IPSec).
• Implement and maintain vManage, vSmart, vBond, and Edge routers.
• Configure QoS, security policies, and segmentation within SD-WAN.
• Assist IA personnel regard network security and compliance.
• Install, test, and validate network components remotely and on-site.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot SD-WAN issues, optimize WAN.
• Document network architecture and best practices.
• Support deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
