Job summary

Absurd Ventures, LLC in Santa Monica, CA seeks a highly experienced Software Engineer to help drive the design, implementation, and support of tools for our cinematic pipeline. You will work on Unreal-based tools, plugins in C++ and Python, and external tools in C#.

This on-site role collaborates with animators, audio engineers, and producers to ingest, author, and export cinematic content. Candidates should have 5+ years in game development, strong Unreal Engine experience, and a track record

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional game development with cinematic content tools.
• 2+ years Unreal Engine, preferably Sequencer and animation systems.
• Experience developing applications in C++, Python, and C#.
• Shipped at least one AAA title in an engineering role.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Interface with production leadership to define toolchain requirements and build/test tools.
• Collaborate with animators, audio engineers, and producers to design, implement, and support tools for cinematic content.
• Participate in technical planning, task estimation, and milestone reviews.
