Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) Child Development Programs in the local area seek a capable supervisor to lead staff delivering developmentally appropriate care for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years. The role focuses on ensuring quality instruction and safety across all activities.

The successful candidate will develop lesson plans, supervise staff, and enforce health and safety standards, including immunizations and background checks, with occasional evenings or weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Background checks and immunization requirements apply as stated in the notice.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a team leader ensuring program staff provide appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years.
• Ensure implementation of developmentally appropriate programs promoting social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth.
• Instruct team members with written instructions, reference materials and supplies.
• Develop, plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, schedules, and activities based on observed needs and interests of children and youth.
• Ensure staff follow health and safety standards (diapering, toileting, hand washing, cleaning/sanitizing surfaces, food service, safe sleep, caring for ill children).
