Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Sr. Chief Engineer to lead engineering and maintenance across properties totaling 500k square feet or more.

The role requires deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and Building Management Systems, with a strong focus on compliance and budget management. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of supervisory engineering experience in commercial properties and a track record of developing preventive maintenance programs and cost controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience with significant supervisory responsibility in a commercial property setting.
• Experience in operation, installation and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems.
• Knowledge of EPA/OSHA compliance and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision of engineering and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, personnel development and performance review.
• Oversee properties totaling 500k square feet or more.
• Conduct inspections and surveys, including energy audits and analysis of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance and engineering procedures, life safety programs, and related plans.
• Assist in capital budgeting and annual budgeting processes for maintenance and operations.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and internal teams on projects and compliance.
