Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team and manage daily operations for assigned properties in Boston. The role includes oversight of maintenance programs, safety compliance, and budgeted operating plans, with hands-on duties as needed.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in building systems, 7+ years of related experience, and relevant trade licenses. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years of related work experience in a commercial property setting.
• Vocational/Technical training certificate; appropriate trade license may be required.
• Familiar with Energy Management System (EMS) and fire alarm systems.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, personnel development.
• Ensure performance management and development through HR processes.
• Coordinate annual safety program and ensure 100% site compliance.
• Manage building operating budgets and variance reporting.
• Oversee all building systems: fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
