Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Technical Expert LL6 to lead the design, development, and in-house process delivery for suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings). You will drive manufacturing feasibility, tooling optimization, and process simulations to ensure robust launch readiness.

Expect leadership in DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, GD&T, and APQP plans, with cross-functional collaboration across design, release, and suppliers. Occasional travel to global centers is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years experience in chassis structural design and engineering.
• Experience with suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings) and launches.
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of in-house design and manufacturing process for suspension structural parts.
• Develop and maintain engineering foundation documents (design guides, DRs, RQTs, interface contracts).
• Create and manage Level 2 technical materials (Process FMEAs, Control Plans, Safe Launch Plans).
• Lead DFM/ DFA feasibility reviews prior to tool kickoff to ensure compatibility with tooling and process.
• Drive in-house manufacturing process simulations to optimize structure and feasibility.
• Lead OK to tool process with suppliers and approve steps.
