Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Technical Expert to lead the design, development, and in-house process delivery for Suspension Structural Components. You will drive DFMEA, PPAP readiness, and manufacturing feasibility across stampings, castings, and forgings.

Position requires 10+ years in chassis structural design, strong GD&T, and hands-on experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and fabrication tooling. Some global travel may be required.

Qualifications

BS in engineering required.
10 years of chassis structural design and engineering experience.
Extensive experience with suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings).
Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, SCCAF, Control Plans and drawings with GD&T.

Responsibilities

Lead in-house design and manufacturing process for suspension parts.
Develop and maintain engineering foundation documents (design guides, DRs, RQTs, interface contracts).
Create Level 2 technical materials: FMEAs, control plans, Safe Launch plans, BOMs.
Lead DFM/DFA feasibility reviews before tool kickoff.
Run manufacturing process simulations to optimize structure and feasibility.
Lead tool-release decisions with BTP suppliers including steel purchases.
