Job summary

Ford Motor Company in the United States is seeking a Technical Expert LL6 to lead the in‑house design and manufacturing process for suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings). You will develop and maintain engineering foundation documents and oversee tooling feasibility.

You will drive DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and GD&T, lead DFM/DFA reviews, and coordinate cross‑functional teams through pre‑production launches and tool readiness.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• 10+ years experience in chassis structural design and launch.
• DFMEA, PFMEA, and GD&T expertise.
• Experience with CAE tools and manufacturing simulations.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of in-house design and manufacturing processes for suspension structural parts.
• Create and manage DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and design GD&T for in-house designs.
• Lead DFM and DFA feasibility reviews and tool kickoff alignment.
• Drive plant simulations of stamping, casting, and forging processes to ensure feasibility.
• Coordinate APQP, OK-to-build/OK-to-ship reviews, and pre-production launches.
