Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert LL6 in the United States to lead the design and in-house process delivery for suspension structural components, including stampings, castings, and forgings. The role focuses on developing an internal design process, engineering feasibility, and tooling optimization.

You will drive DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and DOE activities, ensuring toolability and process capability while collaborating across global teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• BS-Engineering is required.
• 10+ years in chassis structural design and engineering.
• Extensive experience with suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings).
• Deep knowledge of BTPS deliverables and PPAP requirements.
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, SCCAF, Control Plans, and GD&T.
• Experience with CAE tools, manufacturing simulation, and DOE.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of in-house design/manufacturing processes for suspension parts.
• Create and manage design foundation documents and interface contracts.
• Lead DFM/DFA feasibility reviews before tool kickoff.
• Drive in-house manufacturing process simulations to optimize structure.
• Lead OK-to-tool with suppliers and approve production steps.
• Conduct tests and support prototype development with program teams.
• Manage data collection and capability analyses for SC/CC.
