Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert (LL6) to lead the design and in-house process delivery for suspension structural components. You will drive DFMA/DFM reviews, develop internal engineering foundation documents, and manage APQP plans, with responsibilities spanning tool qualification, process simulations, and supplier collaboration.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in engineering, 10+ years in chassis design, and strong GD&T/DFMEA PFMEA experience, with global travel to support launches

Qualifications

• BS-Engineering required; 10+ years in chassis structural design.
• Experience with suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings) and launch.
• Deep understanding of BTPS deliverables and PPAP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of in-house design/manufacturing process for suspension parts (stampings/castings/forgings).
• Create and manage DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and GD&T for in-house designs.
• Develop APQP plans, OK-To-Build/OK-To-Ship reviews, and gauge assessment plans.
• Lead DFx reviews, tool kickoff alignment, and process feasibility optimization.
• Conduct DOE and manufacturing simulations to optimize formability and flow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure readiness for production.
